Phil Jackson On Cavs Home Atmosphere "It’s Just An Obnoxious Place”
Phil Jackson is quite the character. I saw this over at insidehoops.com... It appears as if there is a lot of general interest regarding #6's return to Cleveland while playing for the Miami Heat, but according to a report from LA Times Broderick Turner, Jackson says he doesn't share the sentiment. Here are some quotes:
“That’s not of interest to me,” he said. “I hate to listen to the Cleveland broadcast. Their announcers are so loud on the court. It’s just an obnoxious place.”
But almost everybody will be watching on Thursday.
“That’s my night off,” Jackson said, smiling.
The "Zen Master" has had some interesting input regarding the LeBron and the Miami Heat situation this season. Maybe it's just Phil being Phil and working his mind games that he is so well known for. Maybe it's a media distraction from the Lakers own current 3-game losing streak. Either way, you can always count on Phil to stir things up a bit.
But how about getting a W tonight against the Rockets, Phil? Thanks!

Phil is right, since LBJ left the cavs fans boo everybody, it's like they're mad at everybody for LBJ leaving. Good luck been a sub 500 team for many years to come.
ReplyDeleteCleveland is definitely one of the most miserable in the U.S. Top 3 at least.
ReplyDeleteThe way ex-king left Cleveland was disgraceful to the city. There's this saying "gracefully can exist" and LeBron disgraced himself. Of course, it hurt Cleveland and the most how he went about which was a well planned drama.
ReplyDeleteCleveland fans need to move on. I also wish he stayed there but he didn't. What about the great 7 years of service he provided. Does that count for anything? Maybe he could have found a better way to leave, but he didn't. He deserves a standing ovation when he plays there tonight!!! The way Cleveland is acting, they will never get a free agent of any talent to come there. MOVE ON!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't stand Cleveland right now. LbJ gave 7 years of great pro basketball to that blip of a town. Was his leave disgraceful? For me NO! That pig of an owner had all the time in the world to resign him. But Nooo! He swaggert around like Lebron was his slave. Listen Cleveland! I hope now that if and when you get another high caliber pro you will know how to treat him. This was all YOUR fault. Not James! Get over it. Move on! Your are SO boring it's a shame!!!
ReplyDeleteThe Cavs fans r still hating! The Heat gonna beat their pants off tonight! Just like Reggie Miller did Spike Lee and the Knicks years ago! Trust me the noise in the market place wont move the King a bit! It would boost him up for a 30 plus game tonight
ReplyDeleteAll you people who want to berate Cleveland fans should be ashamed of yourself. Cleveland fans are the most loyal fans in the country. Win or lose we support out teams and we are constantly being called "The mistake on the Lake" We stand by all our players no matter what. Did LBJ stand by his fans? No he stood alone for himself. When he plays tonight at the Q he at will get exactly what he deserves!
ReplyDeletePLEASE EXCUSE THE GRAMMER, BUT THE OWNER HAS TRIPLED THE VALUE OF THE FRANCHISE SINCE LEBRON WAS THERE AND WHAT DID HE DO TO IMPROVE ANYTHING, NOTHING REALLY !! SO YOU FOLKS ARE MAD AT THE WRONG PERSON, THE OWNER IS THE ONE YOU SHOULD BE DIRECTING YOUR ANGER AT , NOT A TWENTY-FIVE YEAR OLD YOUNG MAN FROM THE GHETTO OF AKRON, OHIO.
ReplyDeleteas a Clevelander all you morons criticizing the Cavs for not improving with LBJ need to get a clue!! There is a salary cap A-holes. The Cavs were $40 million over it. Getting players the KING wanted: Shaq, Jamison. They paid millions in luxury tax for being over the cap. What did we get as fans? The KING quitting in Game 5. Kicking us in the package when he made his announcement on his infomercial. Had he been professional and informed the team he would leave they had opportunity to do something. Instead the DRAMA QUEEN waited until everyone else had signed. Did is self promoting and left the team high and dry. A team that gave him and his friends anything they wanted. Hell his friends had assistant jobs with the Cavs and were paid more than some of the coaches. King James is a chump. Unless he changes, his selfishness will keep him from winning a title. For all you hammering us in C-Town F-Off.
ReplyDeleteI was ready to cut him some slack, until I saw him deliberately bump into his coach, the guy is a punk, was a punk and will always be a punk..no matter what he does in basketball, he will never measure up to the best, once a punk always a punk...
